Info For Presenters
Rather than physically bringing your posters to NU Reporgraphics, it is best that you email your poster in PDF or Power Point format to nurepro@yahoo.com. Remember to put your name, student level (graduate or undergraduate) and your Abstract ID# in the subject line in addition to referencing to Research and Scholarship Expo.
We expect that the majority of presenters will display posters. Instructions for poster presentations are given below. We also welcome performances. If you have any special presentation requests, please contact Jerome Dean at j.dean@neu.edu

Create a Slide for Your Poster
You have the option to create a slide to be featured in a slide show loop that is projected during the event. This slide will be used drive "traffic" to your poster.
- Use the slide to highlight the most interesting fact about your research, briefly describe your research.
- Make it interesting. Think of it as a way to get people excited about your research.
- You can also form your research findings as a question. Please add your Abstract ID# to the slide in a line that reads "Find out at booth [put in your abstract ID, we will change it to your poster board number]."
- Include a catchy image related to your topic
- See slide examples from last year's expo
- Email your slides to j.dean@neu.edu

You should have your presentation mounted by 10:45 a.m. Be sure to bring push pins as none will be provided.
Present your poster at the Expo
Poster sessions are concurrent, but if you would like to make presentations at specific times, you may post a sign at your display with the times listed. If you can't be at the Expo during the entire three hours, please be sure to have someone stay with your poster to answer questions. If you are working with a company, please invite representatives to attend. Please announce this event in your classes. We strongly encourage you to invite students, colleagues and others to attend.
Remove your poster
All posters are to remain on display for the full three hours of the Expo. You can remove your posters between 2:15 p.m. and 3 p.m. The poster boards will be dismantled at 3 p.m. We are not responsible for posters not removed by that time.
